Disney is moving fast.

Following negative reactions to the brief Super Bowl teaser for The Mandalorian & Grogu, a new announcement promises a complete trailer tomorrow. This trailer will feature actual scenes from the movie.

A new trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu will be released tomorrow, following the brief preview shown during the Super Bowl just nine days ago.

This new trailer showcases actual footage from the movie, a departure from the previous Big Game commercial which focused on nostalgia and memorable elements like tauntauns.

Super Bowl Spot Gets Hammered Online

The pivot comes as the Super Bowl ad continues to struggle on YouTube.

The official Star Wars trailer on YouTube has received a lot of negative feedback, with around 34,000 dislikes compared to just 18,000 likes – a clear indication of how viewers are reacting.

Considering it’s the first Star Wars film in theaters for seven years, the response hasn’t been as enthusiastic as Disney probably hoped.

Rather than generating excitement, the Super Bowl ad caused discussion about whether it was confusing, had the wrong approach, and ultimately failed to successfully promote the new Star Wars movie.

Release Information

Jon Favreau will direct a new movie featuring The Mandalorian and Grogu, with Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver as stars. It’s scheduled to hit theaters on May 22, 2026.

With the evil Empire defeated, remnants of its leadership are still causing trouble across the galaxy.
