Oh boy, oh boy! As someone who’s spent more time in the magical realm of Disney World than my own home, I can confidently say that these latest announcements have sent shivers of pure joy down my spine! The thought of riding an Indiana Jones-themed ride and stepping into Encantio’s world is enough to make any Disney fan swoon.
It seems that Walt Disney World is gearing up for even more excitement, as plans have been made to add numerous thrilling rides in the future, promising an even more enjoyable and entertaining experience.
Excitedly, as a die-hard Disney fan, I can’t contain my enthusiasm when I share this incredible news! According to People, Josh D’Amaro, the big boss of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, has confirmed that we’ll soon have an Indiana Jones-themed ride added to Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
In simpler terms, the Monsters Inc. world is set to premiere in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It will introduce the first-ever suspended coaster in any Disney park, taking riders through the movie’s door factory. This news was shared by Billy Crystal, as reported.
Furthermore, it’s been announced that in 2025, a nighttime parade is set to debut at Magic Kingdom, TestTrack is scheduled to reopen at Epcot, and a Zootopia show will premiere at Animal Kingdom. In addition, two new Cars-themed attractions are planned for construction within Frontierland at the park.
Based on reports, Disney Imagineers have earlier announced plans for a genuine Animal Kingdom expansion inspired by the Tropical Americas, set to replace the Dino-Land U.S.A area as per their proposal.
It’s said that Disney has announced their new project will focus on the region within the Western Hemisphere, specifically the areas near the equator that are rich with the greatest variety of life in both the northern and southern hemispheres.
At the Destination D23 event in Florida during September, D’Amaro further detailed the plan by saying, “It’s an enchanting area with tales of magic woven throughout it for decades.”
To enhance your visit, Disney Parks announced on TikTok and Instagram that the Villains Land will soon open in the Magic Kingdom. The caption for the video read, “Villains Land is arriving at Magic Kingdom with two main rides, dining options, and shopping destinations at Walt Disney World,” as reported by the source.
According to reports, a team of Walt Disney Imagineers submitted a 25-page proposal for new building permits earlier this year with the South Florida Water Management District regarding an expansion for Animal Kingdom. Moreover, just last month, another permit application for construction in preparation for this potential expansion was filed by the same team.
Disney’s proposed investment of up to $17 billion in its Orlando resort received approval from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District in July.
As someone who has visited Walt Disney World numerous times throughout my life, I am thrilled at the prospect of seeing it grow even further. With each new park and hotel, there is a renewed sense of magic and wonder that draws me back again and again. The memories I’ve made there are priceless, and I can only imagine how exciting it will be to explore these new additions with my family in the future.
