There are some shows that will surely outlive us all. The first two that come to mind for me are the soap opera The Young & The Restless and The Simpsons. The latter is somehow 36 seasons in and will likely have 36 more to come, thanks to generations of fans. We’ve all seen at least a few handfuls of episodes throughout our lives and recognize that infamous family and couch. But, if you really want to take on a huge marathon watching task, Disney+ has an always-on Stream for The Simpsons with its episodes airing 24/7 in chronological order.
It consists of the first 35 seasons, which equals a whopping 767 episodes and more than 300 hours of content. No matter what time you tune in, there’s always a chance to hear Bart tell someone to eat his shorts. According to a Disney executive, this 24 hour stream of The Simpsons on Disney+ is something that fans really wanted.
“From day one, the fans have asked for a Stream of The Simpsons, and we’re happy to oblige,” said Gabe Lewis, SVP of Programming & Content Curation, Disney+. “Streams on Disney+ have been a fantastic go-to experience for subscribers looking to sit back and relax with their favorite shows and movies, and we look forward to evolving the user experience and expanding the offering with more Streams, to more subscribers, later this year.”
Honestly, I am not mad at this idea at all. Even if I am not sitting down and watching the episodes intentionally, as a person who works from home, I’d totally fire up this stream. There’s truly nothing better to keep me company than Homer Simpson and all the shenanigans of Springfield, right?
