The movie features a strong cast including Emily Blunt (known for A Quiet Place), Josh O’Connor (Wake Up Dead Man), Colin Firth (The King’s Speech), Eve Hewson (Bad Sisters), and Colman Domingo (Sing Sing). It’s a really good group of actors! This thriller also reunites director Steven Spielberg – who co-wrote the story – with screenwriter David Koepp. They’ve worked together before on films like Jurassic Park, The Lost World, War of the Worlds, and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
John Williams, a renowned composer, returned from retirement to create the film’s score. He’s collaborated with the director Spielberg on previous projects.
The movie’s official description matches what we saw in the trailer. Here’s what Universal Pictures says about it:
Imagine discovering we aren’t the only life in the universe, with undeniable proof. Would that be scary? This summer, the world – all seven billion of us – will learn the truth. We’re nearing a moment of revelation.
Ten years ago, the idea of aliens existing would have terrified me. Now? Bring them on! And I’d love to meet this group of people too – they seem awesome.
It’s unlikely, but we’ll find out soon enough. The movie Disclosure Day will premiere in theaters this summer on June 12, 2026, and reveal what really happened.
