Digimon Story: Time Stranger – How long to beat

The newest installment in the Digimon series, Digimon Story: Time Stranger, is now available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, and it’s a substantial game. Similar to many JRPGs, it features numerous dungeons to discover, lots of cool and cute creatures to collect, and a variety of side quests.

This guide explains how long it takes to finish Digimon Story: Time Stranger, covering both a standard playthrough and achieving 100% completion.

How long does it take to beat Digimon Story: Time Stranger?

The amount of time you’ll spend playing Digimon Story: Time Stranger varies. Completing all side quests, optional areas, and collecting every Digimon will naturally take longer than if you rush through the main story on an easier difficulty. Essentially, your playtime depends on how much of the game you choose to experience.

So, if you’re planning to beat Digimon Story: Time Stranger, I’d say you’re looking at around 40-50 hours of playtime. That’s if you’re tackling the main story, most of the side quests, and doing a good chunk of the Field Guide stuff – all while playing on normal difficulty, of course. It’s a pretty good chunk of time, but it feels worth it!

How long does it take to 100% Digimon Story: Time Stranger?

Achieving 100% completion in Digimon Story: Time Stranger requires a significant effort. You’ll need to beat the game on the hardest difficulty setting, collect all of the Digimon listed in the Field Guide, finish every side quest, and explore all dungeons. It’s a pretty demanding task, and will take much longer than a typical playthrough.

We expect that 100% completion on Digimon Story: Time Stranger will take about 60-80 hours
