As a lifestyle expert with years of experience in the music and film industries, I must say, the collaboration between Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars is undoubtedly an exciting development. Their unique styles and exceptional talents are bound to create a captivating piece of art that will resonate with fans worldwide.
Tonight, August 15th, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars will unveil their brand-new single titled “Die With a Smile.” Gaga shared details about its upcoming release across her various social media platforms, along with an eye-catching poster depicting the two musicians in vibrant red and blue attire.
It’s been largely secretive about the new track, but it seems the artist is likely to delve into country music, hinted by their choice of attire in the poster. This year, Mars, Gaga won’t be alone in changing their musical style from pop to country, as Post Malone and Beyonce are already pioneering this trend.
In the meantime, Bruno Mars, famously known for Uptown Funk, is back with a new track following a two-year hiatus. Previously, he teamed up with Anderson .Paak to launch the Sonic project, which earned him a Grammy award. On the other hand, Lady Gaga, who is both an actress and singer (known for Bad Romance), will be dropping fresh music after nearly four years. Her last album, Chromatica, was released in 2020, since then, her primary focus has been on her acting ventures.
In the upcoming film Joker 2, Gaga, known for her captivating performances, will join forces with Joaquin Phoenix. This movie also features a musician contributing to its soundtrack, but it’s said that this musical aspect is “unlike anything I’ve ever done before.” The actress who starred in A Star is Born has been cast as Harley Quinn in the film.
As for the portrayal of my character in the gripping thriller, allow me to clarify: While many recognize me as Lady Gaga, the entertainer, it’s crucial to understand that this film showcases a different side of me altogether.
She mentioned, “I was portraying a character, so I put in a lot of effort to ensure my singing felt like it came from Lee rather than myself, the performer…How do you make music seamlessly blend with the dialogue instead of interrupting it with an unexpected song?”
Despite Lady Gaga and Joaquin Phoenix preparing for the promotion of Joker’s sequel, their collaboration on a song with Bruno Mars has no connection whatsoever to the movie.
In October, Joker: Folie a Deux is set to hit theaters with a narrative that links back to the initial series. From what we understand about the movie’s plot, “Arthur Fleck, once an unsuccessful comedian, encounters his soulmate, Harley Quinn, during his stay at Arkham State Hospital. Upon his discharge, they embark on a tragic and romantic journey together.”
Meanwhile, the fans of Gaga and Mars are betting on the upcoming song to be a good one.
