Recent photos show Sean “Diddy” Combs is settling into life at the federal prison in Fort Dix, New Jersey.
On Saturday, the hip-hop executive was seen talking and laughing with fellow prisoners in the yard, appearing surprisingly at ease despite being in prison.
The photos show Diddy wearing a dark blue coat, gray pants, and a gray beanie. He’s also seen shaking hands with another prisoner, which indicates he’s interacting with and getting along with the other inmates.
These photos are the second time the rapper has been seen publicly since being incarcerated. They follow previous images that showed him appearing more serious while wearing a bright orange hat.

Combs was moved to Fort Dix earlier this week. He asked for the transfer to the facility, which has a less strict security level, so he could join their drug treatment program.
Diddy’s lawyer, Teny Geragos, explained to the judge that moving him to a different facility would let him concentrate on getting treatment and still see his family often. Fort Dix, a federal prison about 34 miles east of Philadelphia, offers drug treatment programs and is one of several facilities with this option.
Sean “Diddy” Combs was found guilty in July on two charges linked to violating the Mann Act. Prosecutors alleged he transported women, including those involved in the sex industry, across state lines for parties involving drugs and sexual activity.
He was found not guilty of the most severe charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering. He’s currently serving a 50-month sentence, having already completed about 14 months, and is expected to be released on May 8, 2028. However, he may be able to shorten his sentence by participating in prison programs.
This week, Sean Combs’ lawyers appealed his conviction, asking a federal court to review whether it was lawful. He’s also reportedly asked President Trump for a pardon, but it’s unclear if a decision has been made.
Even though he received a serious prison sentence, Diddy has expressed a desire to use his time to improve himself. He wrote a letter to the judge explaining he’s had a personal and spiritual awakening, and is dedicated to staying away from drugs and living a peaceful, non-violent life.
Mark Geragos, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ lawyer, said he initially worried about how Combs would cope with being in jail, but reports suggest he’s adjusting well. Recent pictures of him laughing and interacting with others indicate he’s maintaining a positive attitude despite his current situation.
People are fascinated and surprised by a rare glimpse into the life of a hip-hop icon while they were in prison.
