Trigger warning: This article contains mentions of sexual harassment and s*x trafficking.
In simpler terms, it’s predicted that Sean “Diddy” Combs will shell out a substantial amount, likely in the hundreds of millions, during his ongoing sex trafficking case. The renowned rapper, who began federal trials this week with jury selection, has a team of defense lawyers ready to advocate for him.
Additionally, P. Diddy has enlisted a jury consultant named Linda Moreno to aid him in choosing jurors and analyzing their profiles. Beyond his courtroom lawyers, the rapper is also overseeing the jury selection process from the balcony with Mark Geragos and Tina Glandian.
In order to work with any of the lawyers on his assault case, Sean Combs (also known as Diddy) must prepare to pay a substantial fee, as each one on his list carries a high price tag for their services.
In a discussion with a media outlet, Neama Rahmani, the founder of West Coast Trial Lawyers and a former federal prosecutor, revealed her expectations regarding Diddy’s legal fees. She stated that she anticipates Diddy to pay over $10 million in defense costs when everything is settled, as premium criminal defense lawyers for intricate federal cases often demand retainers amounting to $1 million or more.
Additionally, she disclosed that Diddy is supported by a team of numerous lawyers dealing with his case. This isn’t surprising given that his estimated net worth stands at around $1 billion, and his life is at stake.
In more straightforward terms, the ex-prosecutor disclosed that the trial is expected to span over two months, with daily expenses for all involved parties such as lawyers, paralegals, assistants, experts, and jury consultants potentially reaching $100,000 per day of the trial.
As a devoted fan, I’ve recently learned from a reliable insider that although the exact fees of prominent defense attorneys often remain undisclosed, it has been confirmed that this particular case is expected to reach into the millions.
Regarding this matter, the process of choosing the jury is set to conclude by May 12th. Following that, the trials are slated to start within a week.
