Did You Notice Josh Peck’s Cameo in The Last of Us Season 2 Episode 5? Everything We Know About His Role

By now, viewers are usually ready for significant plot shifts in each installment of The Last of Us Season 2. However, the unexpected appearance of Josh Peck in last Sunday’s fourth episode left many viewers pleasantly surprised.

In the most recent episode featuring Bella Ramsey, Peck made an impressive entrance, skillfully portraying the character of Janowitz, a soldier from the Federal Disaster Response Agency (FEDRA), who captured the spotlight.

2018 takes us back as we see all the soldiers, including Peck’s role, being transported in a van for a mission within the Seattle Quarantine Zone.

In a lively exchange among his comrades, Janowitz shares an incident where he intervened to halt three individuals disseminating religious literature. He reminisces about receiving support from Greenberg, a belligerent FEDRA soldier who mistakenly took “disseminating” as an offensive term. When one of the detainees clarified Greenberg’s misunderstanding, the officer reacted harshly, striking the man’s head and exclaiming, “You didn’t need to say anything, pal!” in a disrespectful manner.

Towards the end of the show, the mood takes an unexpected turn as Isaac Dixon, portrayed by Jeffrey Wright, turns against his comrades. In this moment, he steps out of their vehicle, hurls a grenade into the van, and secures the door, trapping them inside.

This unexpected turn of events left numerous spectators amazed, increasing curiosity about what will unfold further in the narrative.

The Last of Us Season 2 episodes are available to stream on MAX and JioHotstar.
