As Marvel Studios gears up for the May 2 premiere of Thunderbolts, two seasoned actors from the franchise are set to become part of an illustrious team. Out of the numerous performers who have graced our screens throughout almost all phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, two individuals have particularly caught the eye.

Tom Hiddleston and Sebastian Stan are unique among Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) actors, as they’re set to appear in every one of the six distinct phases of the expansive superhero saga – a remarkable accomplishment that doesn’t happen often within this grand epic.

Tom Hiddleston first appeared during Phase 1, playing the role of Loki in Thor (released in 2011), acting alongside Chris Hemsworth. He soon won over fans with his portrayal of the principal antagonist in The Avengers (2012). In Phase 2, he was credited for his roles in Thor: The Dark World, and in Phase 3, he made appearances in Thor: Ragnarok, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame.

During Phase 4, Tom Hiddleston starred as Loki in the Disney+ series (first season) and provided the voice for the same character in What If…? (also first season). In Phase 5, he made an appearance in a post-credits scene of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and advanced his character’s journey in Loki (second season). Furthermore, he continued to lend his voice to What If…? for seasons 2 and 3.

Stan initially appeared as Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier in Captain America: The First Avenger (released in 2011), and he’s remained a recurring character within the Marvel Cinematic Universe throughout its development.

He took on the role of Captain America again during Phase 2’s movie “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” and also made an appearance in the end credits of “Ant-Man.” For Phase 3, he starred in “Captain America: Civil War” and had a post-credits scene in “Black Panther,” and appeared in both “Avengers: Infinity War” and “Avengers: Endgame.

During Phase 4, the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier introduced a fresh aspect of Bucky’s personality and his relationship with Sam Wilson. Moreover, he lent his voice to his character in What If…? (Season 1). In Phase 5, Bucky reappeared in Seasons 2 and 3 of What If…?, had a brief appearance in Captain America: Brave New World, and is due to show up in the upcoming Thunderbolts.
