Did You Know Deadpool & Wolverine’s Kidpool Role Almost Went To THIS Favorite Teen Actor; Find Out

As a dedicated follower of the Marvel universe, I can’t help but feel a pang of nostalgia when I think about the almost-Kidpool, Walker Scobell. A mega Deadpool fan himself, it seemed like fate had conspired to bring him into the world of the Merc with a Mouth. But alas, nature had other plans, and puberty struck, transforming our young hopeful into a taller, deeper-voiced version of himself – just not the one who could’ve been Kidpool.

In the Marvel universe of Deadpool & Wolverine, where alternate realities collide and bald women reign supreme, one character stands out: Kidpool.

But did you know that the role of this pre-teen variant almost went to a familiar face? It’s time to dive into the behind-the-scenes drama and discover the actor who came oh-so-close to donning the red-and-black suit.

14-year-old Walker Scobell, famous for his memorable role alongside Ryan Reynolds in The Adam Project, was about to embody Kidpool. As a passionate fan of Deadpool, Scobell at the age of 13 once boasted that he could flawlessly recite Reynolds’ iconic “f*** Wolverine” soliloquy from Deadpool 2 by heart.

Enthusiasts and movie creators both believed he was an ideal performer – someone who possessed just the right blend of enthusiasm and skill. Many dreamt that one day he’d join the Deadpool series. Unfortunately, destiny had different ideas.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Director Shawn Levy explained that Scobel’s growth spurt proved to be quite a challenge. During puberty, this natural process made Scobel grow taller and develop a deeper voice, resulting in a significant transformation.

I can’t help but marvel at the extraordinary talent that is Walker Scobell. If only his growth had halted just before puberty, he undeniably would have been the perfect candidate for Kidpool. Alas, the whims of Hollywood and its executives are beyond our control, allowing nature to continue its course.

But Kidpool still made a splash in the film, although with a twist! Instead of Scobell, the role was voiced by Inez, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively’s cute 7-year-old daughter.

As a lifestyle aficionado, let me share my take on the captivating performance of Inez. Her vibrant energy and enchanting vocals breathed life into the character of Kidpool, showcasing how life’s journey can lead us down the most surprising paths – destiny’s unpredictable, thrilling rollercoaster ride!

However, it’s not just their daughter who starred in the movie. Their son, Olin, played the charming role of Babypool. And let’s not forget about the other Deadpool characters…

The Deadpool Squad showcases a captivating and assorted roster with Nathan Fillion portraying the zombie-headed Deadpool, Blake Lively depicting the alluring Lady Deadpool, and Matthew McConaughey bringing the charisma as Cowboy Deadpool, among others!

Regarding Walker Scobell, although he didn’t land the role of Kidpool, it seems like he’s found success elsewhere. Some might even say this is his major industry debut! The 15-year-old talent currently takes on the part of Percy Jackson in the series adaptation based on Rick Riordan’s cherished young adult book series titled “Percy Jackson.”

Having had the privilege of treading various paths throughout my career, I can confidently say that this new path is unlike anything I’ve encountered before on Kidpool. Yet, it’s not the familiarity that excites me, but rather the thrill of venturing into uncharted territory. As someone who has navigated through different roles, I find myself pondering – if presented with a choice between these opportunities, which one would Scobell ultimately choose? The allure of the unknown beckons, and I can’t help but feel drawn to it.
