Did Wanda Maximoff Turn Every Citizen of Westview Into a Witch?

As a seasoned gamer with countless hours spent navigating fantasy realms, I can confidently say that the haphazard coven of Agatha Harkness is not only out of place but dangerously misguided on the Witches’ Road. It’s not just about their imminent demise; they simply shouldn’t be there because they lack a Green Witch – aka Sharon, who was more of a “random woman with no obvious magical qualities.

Agatha Harkness and their hastily formed coven should not be on the Witches’ Path. This isn’t because it could potentially harm them, but rather due to the fact that they gained entry into the magical realm without a Green Witch. The late Sharon wasn’t a witch; she was simply an ordinary woman with no discernible magical abilities who had no business on the Path. Her presence there suggests that Agatha Harkness, disguised as Mrs. Hart, might have been more than her companions realized. Given her origin, we might even speculate about what her true nature was: Wanda Maximoff‘s Hex may have bestowed magical powers upon everyone in Westview.

The third installment of Agatha All Along underscored the idea that witchcraft is a skill that can be learned, not just something one is born with. It’s not always an inherent trait. Teen, for instance, has primarily taught himself, explaining his desire to follow the Witches Path.

Despite the fact that none of Agatha’s powerful witches were able to identify any latent magical abilities in Sharon, one might expect them to do so given their skills. Agatha drove a three-mile radius around Westview in search of her coven, and she could sense their magic, however faint it may be due to their current conditions. It seems that if Sharon had undergone training as a witch and developed even a small amount of actual powers, the others would have detected these abilities.

Is it plausible that the Witches’ Path would allow a non-witch entry and enable them to take on the role of a Green Witch, given that a Green Witch is considered the most vital witch for traversing the Road? This contradicts our understanding since others assert that only a Green Witch can access the Road effectively.

Indeed, the last few years in Sharon’s life have been puzzling given she resides within Westview. This is because she was among those ensnared by Wanda Maximoff’s Hex, an extraordinary magical construct that left even the venerable witch Agatha Harkness astonished. In fact, Agatha struggled to fathom how any witch could have conceived such a creation.

If one could transform into a witch through training alone, what consequences might befall an individual compelled to dwell within the strongest magic ever conjured by a witch? How would such a situation affect them? What may occur after someone is trapped for extended periods in the actual magic of Wanda?

It could potentially bestow upon them supernatural abilities associated with witches, allowing them to traverse the Witch’s Pathway.

It’s clear that Wanda’s Hex holds more power than Agatha suggested, as demonstrated by its ability to transform Monica Rambeau’s cells and grant her superpowers after multiple passages. However, we remain uncertain about the long-term effects of residing within the Hex on an individual. The Scarlet Witch subjected them to a unique experience, one that no other witch has ever encountered. Even other witches can’t predict what such an encounter might do to someone.

A teenager claims that becoming a witch is possible through learning. If this is accurate, Wanda could have transformed everyone in Westview into witches under the most grueling apprenticeship imaginable. This transformation might have even turned an innocent gardener named Sharon into a Green Witch without anyone being aware. The term “anyone” refers to people, not objects. The Witches’ Path would have been informed about this.
