Did Suits LA Solve The Oldest Mike Ross Mystery? Creator Aaron Korsh Reveals How Original Series is Linked to Spin-Off

In recent episodes, the digital debut of Suits: L.A. has sparked intrigue among viewers as they’ve discerned similarities with the original series. New characters, including Bryan Greensberg’s portrayal of Rick Dodsen, have captivated audiences in these spin-off episodes.

In the debut of Suits, viewers found themselves observing a job interview scenario where Harvey was present to recruit a fresh associate for his law firm. Later on in the same episode, Donna can be seen calling for Rick Sorkins, who fails to show up; instead, Mike Ross unexpectedly enters the office and is chosen to stand alongside Harvey as his trusted assistant.

With the moniker “Rick” resonating, spectators assume that he embodies the same persona as the one mentioned derisively by Donna in the initial show.

In the meantime, the show’s creator has carefully connected the plotlines of the series and subtly suggested similarities between characters. For instance, when discussing character Rick, Korsh explained, “Although he doesn’t have a photographic memory and isn’t overly self-assured like other applicants that Donna had to evaluate, Rick is not as timid as one might think.

In addition, the character Rick in Suits L.A. presents a scenario to viewers on how Harvey’s life might have unfolded if he had hired Sorkins instead of Mike. There have been whispers that Patrick J. Adams may return to the spinoff to reprise his role as Mike Ross, but the actor has not yet confirmed these speculations.

Rumors about Meghan Markle potentially rejoining the series are circulating online as well. In the initial run, she played the role of Rachel Zane.

Suits L.A. is available to stream on Peacock.
