She didn’t explicitly name the person, but instead said, “I was asked to support someone I considered a friend at a court appearance, and went to one early hearing as an observer.” Later on, Armstrong admitted that she had been under the impression she was assisting her friend, but soon came to understand that she was making an error in doing so.
