Kristen Stewart recently tied the knot with her long-term partner, Dylan Meyer, in a private wedding at their LA residence. As well-wishing messages flooded the web for the newlyweds, an old interview from the Twilight star reappeared where she discussed her desired type of ceremony.
As a lifestyle expert, I recently expressed my admiration for at-home weddings during my guest spot on the renowned Sirius XM’s Howard Stern Show in November 2021. I truly believe that these intimate, personal gatherings bring a unique charm and warmth to the special day.
During the podcast interview, Stewart shared her vision for a relaxed wedding, where she and her partner would simply exchange their vows, making the ceremony brief. Expanding on this, the actress expressed, “I prefer staying at home. I’d like it to be in Los Angeles so that everyone can easily attend.
She also mentioned, “I prefer it to be quite casual. There won’t be anyone escorting anyone down the aisles. We’ll simply gather, exchange vows, and then celebrate with a fantastic party afterward. Essentially, it’s just an excellent opportunity for everyone to get together and express ‘I love you’ in front of all our friends.
In those days, Stewart and the movie producer had been in a relationship for close to two years and were already deliberating on their future living arrangements as a couple. They had even decided on the style of their venue and cuisine for their wedding ceremony, which they had planned three years before actually getting married.
In addition to her comments, the actress famed for Charlie’s Angels suggested, “We might decide to skip having an officiant altogether, keeping it a more intimate affair. However, we learned that Guy Fieri from Food Network often performs at gay weddings. The thought of that jovial man, with his distinctive spiky hair, presiding over our wedding is simply hilarious.” She went on to express, “The idea of him being there and officiating our ceremony just tickles me so much.
Translating that into more casual and conversational language: Stewart actually tied the knot with Meyer, her partner since 2019, during a low-key ceremony. Only their nearest and dearest relatives and pals were invited to witness the special moment.
