As someone who has followed the British Royal Family for decades, I must say that the ongoing rift between Princes William and Harry is a source of great sadness. Having grown up watching their relationship blossom, it’s disheartening to see them at odds.
Since Prince Harry relinquished his royal responsibilities in 2020, there has been a noticeable rift between him and his brother, Prince William. Though they’ve shared the stage at some events, their interactions have been sparse, with each quickly departing afterward.
According to reports, the brothers have never spoken since the rift, but before their meeting at their uncle’s funeral, it was disclosed by royal experts that the Princess of Wales requested her spouse to reconcile with the Duke of Sussex.
The princes last met each other at King Charles’ coronation in May 2023.
Prior to stepping away from the royal family, Prince Harry had been particularly close to his elder brother, the Prince of Wales, and enjoyed a strong relationship with Kate Middleton as well. However, it appears that their relationship may have soured following a controversial interview conducted by Oprah Winfrey, which Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, participated in together.
During an interview with Fox News, Christopher Andersen, a renowned royal author, disclosed that Prince Harry frequently referred to Kate as if she were his sister and held her in high regard. Andersen explained, “Indeed, they were quite close. They had a unique bond. They both possessed a similar quirky sense of humor and shared amusement at the same kinds of jokes. In fact, Harry would often remark that Kate was the sister he never had.”
As a lifestyle advisor, I’d say it this way: “Indeed, just as anyone would wish for harmony in their family, Kate finds herself hoping that the brothers reconcile. A resolution between them would undeniably lift a burden from the Royal Family. However, it’s important to note that above all, her unwavering loyalty lies with her husband.”
Although their strained relationship remains unresolved, there’s speculation that Prince Charles might meet with Prince Harry again in 2025. This is due to the possibility that Prince Charles may travel to the United States for official engagements. If this happens, they could potentially appear together at the Diana Awards and Travalyst events.
According to a trusted insider from the royal family, Prince William’s visits will primarily be determined by his personal calendar and engagements. The source added that his travel in the previous year was indeed made, but he did not go the year before, indicating that his attendance is largely dependent on his annual schedule and commitments.
Since 2023, Prince Harry and his family have resided in California following the request for them to move out of Frogmore Cottage, their previous residence as part of the royal family.
