Justin Bieber has formally ended his association with his clothing line Drew House, stating that it no longer aligns with his personal identity. Insiders close to Bieber suggest that the choice to disengage was a gradual one, largely due to creative differences and boardroom strife stemming from his previous manager, Scooter Braun.
It appears that Justin Bieber has decided to disassociate himself from Drew House, a brand closely connected to Scooter Braun. In an Instagram Story that’s no longer visible, Bieber stated, “I, Justin Bieber, am no longer associated with this brand. Drew House does not reflect who I am or my family or lifestyle.” Additionally, he advised his fans, “If you’re standing by me, the real Justin Bieber, please don’t spend your money on Drew House merchandise.
In 2023, a significant dispute arose in my professional circle when the association of board members found itself embroiled in a scandal involving one of its members, David Bolno, who was allegedly connected to the tragic death of an up-and-coming singer, Laura Lozano. Despite the fact that Bolno was eventually cleared of any wrongdoing, it was none other than Justin Bieber who expressed a desire for his removal from our board. However, I, being a close confidant of Justin’s, revealed that my partner, Scooter Braun, stood firmly by Bolno and effectively blocked any attempts to remove him from his position.
The board included Justin Bieber, Martin Braun, Ryan Good (co-founder of Drew House), Judah Smith (pastor at Churchome), and Bolno. According to Justin’s representatives, Justin and Judah frequently found themselves on the losing side when it came to creative decisions and release strategies. Feeling marginalized, Justin chose to begin anew with a fresh brand called Skylrk.
This past month, Bieber unveiled his fresh venture, Skylrk, on various social platforms, including a video showcasing the burning of Drew House merchandise. Subsequently, he encouraged followers to refrain from purchasing Drew House items any longer.
As a devoted follower, I recently noticed that the dormant Instagram account of the Drew House, which had been silent for more than a year, has resumed its activities. However, upon doing so, it was met with an overwhelming wave of criticism and negative comments from Beliebers, the dedicated fans of Justin Bieber.
As a loyal follower, I’d like to share some insights I’ve gathered. Confidants close to Drew House have shared with TMZ that friction arose when Ryan Good parted ways with Churchome. The concern was that Judah Smith was exerting an excessive influence over him and, indirectly, on Bieber. It should be noted that Ryan’s concerns were primarily about Judah, not Justin. However, it appears that Justin, who had been Ryan’s best man at his wedding, allegedly distanced himself from Ryan and also stepped away from the company.
According to sources from inside Drew House, it was never the case that Justin Bieber was defeated in any board-related votes. In other words, he has always had the majority support in such decisions.
