Actress Simone Ashley, known for her role in Bridgerton, has publicly announced her split from boyfriend Tino Klein following a two-year stint together. During promotions for her upcoming film, Picture This, she recently sat down for an interview on BBC’s Woman Hour podcast.
In conversation with Hero Fiennes Tiffin about their film, Ashley expressed an amusing twist: promoting a romance movie during her single phase. With the recent announcement of her breakup, the Little Mermaid co-star disclosed that she’s been dedicating time to personal growth and her work instead.
Ashley explained, “There’s a bit of an amusing twist that I’m peddling a romantic comedy. As for myself, since the start of this year, I’ve stepped into a new phase – singleness.
In the continuation of their discussion, the renowned Formula 1 driver expressed, “I’m dedicating myself to personal growth, my career, and bolstering my self-assurance.” She went on to say that it seems like a new phase post the Bridgerton premiere, where things were nothing short of chaotic.
Just before their separation in October of last year, the ex-pair attended their last joint public event, which was the launch of the art exhibition by fashion designer Marco Capalado.
In November 2022, rumors of a romantic relationship between the actress and Klein began, as they had initially met at the Grand Prix in Monaco. When asked by Vogue, Ashley expressed her happiness, saying “I’m very happy.” She also mentioned that they hadn’t made their relationship public yet but were discussing how to do so without anyone else finding out first.
Regarding her upcoming film, the actress is set to star alongside Hero Fiennes Tiffin from “After”. Her character, Pia, is told that she will discover her true love within the next five days. As she embarks on this journey, complications arise when her ex-lover unexpectedly reappears, causing turmoil in her life.
Picture This will hit theaters on March 6.
