2025’s Met Gala was themed “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” and it certainly didn’t disappoint! Stars like Rihanna and ASAP Rocky, who co-chaired the event, dazzled on the red carpet. However, it was their personal news that really stole the show – they announced they were expecting their third child!
Prior to Rihanna revealing her pregnancy at the Met Gala, it appeared as though fashion icon Anna Wintour had a hunch about Rihanna’s potential pregnancy, given her role as the event organizer.
On Seth Meyers’ show with Rocky, Wintour spoke about a topic they had previously discussed; this was on May 7th. She mentioned that during the dinner preceding the major fashion event, they subtly hinted at a pregnancy.
Wintour mentioned that she, Riri the rapper, and a few others enjoyed a meal together the evening prior to the Met Gala. She also noted, “He was subtly suggesting things, but I, being typically reserved and British, didn’t respond.
The singer from Praise the Lord stated, “She didn’t retrieve them.” In response, the editor-in-chief of Vogue acknowledged this fact but chose to remain courteous.
For those not familiar, Rihanna showcased her radiant glow as she proudly displayed her baby bump on the blue carpet. At the event, the talented singer chose a stylish ensemble from Marc Jacobs: a black crop jacket, a bustier bodysuit, a black pinstripe tailored skirt with a bustle, and a polka dot satin cravat. Her hat was a collaboration between Jacobs and Stephen Jones, as reported by Vogue.
Instead, according to the source, Rocky, who served as a co-chair for the event, donned a uniquely designed outfit from his very own creative firm, AWGE.
His attire prominently featured a large, black coat. He accessorized with diamond jewelry and carried an umbrella by Briony Raymond, which boasted a handle in the shape of a gun (as reported by E! News).
