DICE lays out Battlefield 6 update policy and confirms backfill bots

It’s been verified that Battlefield 6 will continue to receive updates after its release, offering fresh content like new weapons, maps, and game modes on a seasonal basis. At the unveiling of the game in Hong Kong, the creators told GNN they plan for quarterly content updates.

Regarding potential classic Battlefield maps for BF6, the developers plan to choose them based on feedback from the community to include fan favorites. Similarly, they are considering the community’s opinions when it comes to the time-to-kill (TTK) in BF6.

Despite their extensive efforts and research to find a suitable location for all team members, ongoing changes in the game and feedback from players might necessitate tweaking the Time-to-Kill (TTK). The studio stands prepared to make these adjustments as needed.

In situations where there aren’t enough human players, AI-managed characters (often called bots) will be utilized to complete the roster in multiplayer servers. But DICE emphasized that their main goal is to maximize the number of real human players participating simultaneously.

This week, the public will be granted access to Battlefield 6 for the very first time as the open beta kicks off.
