Comedian Deon Cole posted on Instagram about his hospitalization on his 53rd birthday (January 9th) without specifying the cause. However, he expressed gratitude for the birthday messages he received.
He expressed gratitude for everyone’s birthday greetings, mentioning that they were particularly needed at this time. Alongside a photo of him in a hospital bed wearing a mask and hooked up to monitors, he posted this message. Famous personalities like Jamie Foxx, Nick Cannon, Kenya Barris, and Busta Rhymes responded with their support in the comments.
On the night of January 10th, Cole shared a video from his vehicle while he was leaving his house in Los Angeles, which was threatened by nearby wildfires.
In his article, he detailed the turmoil he’d recently encountered, which encompassed the heavy sentimental value of departing from his residence and boxing up cherished memorabilia such as flowers his mom gifted him prior to her demise in 2021.
Cole expressed his distress by writing, “Today is just awful!!!,” explaining that he had discharged himself from the hospital due to feeling ill, and was forced to abandon his residence. “From behind my home, I witnessed the flames growing – it’s a horrific dream!!!
With wildfires burning nearby, Deon Cole announced that he would not be going ahead with his planned birthday celebration at his house in Los Angeles.
I don’t think it feels appropriate to celebrate my birthday when others are losing everything and I’m on edge about my own house, so I expressed this sentiment on Instagram,” he said. He asked his followers to send prayers to those impacted by the fires.
