However, during this event, Denzel Washington was involved in a heated dispute – specifically with a photographer.

According to accounts, Denzel Washington grew tired of an overly aggressive photographer at the premiere of Spike Lee’s film, Highest 2 Lowest, during the Cannes Film Festival. It is worth noting that Denzel Washington stars as the main character in this movie.

It’s worth noting that the outing marks the fifth collaboration between the Remember the Titans actor and Spike Lee. Additionally, Denzel Washington made his return to the Cannes Film Festival for the first time since 1993’s Much Ado About Nothing.

In a video shared by the New York Post, the actor known for his role in The Magnificent Seven was captured gesturing and verbally instructing a photographer to halt his actions. Specifically, he pointed his finger at the photographer while simultaneously calling out “stop” to him.

In the video, the photographer is shown attempting to lighten the situation after Denzel Washington approaches him. You can see the photographer placing a hand on Washington’s arm, but the actor appears to pull away and shout for it to stop once more.

At the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, it’s essential to understand that the photographers there are often quite vocal in their attempts to capture the attention of the celebrated stars attending the event.

During the premiere of Highest 2 Lowest, the actor unexpectedly received an Honorary Palme d’Or from Lee. Additionally, Thierry Fremaux, director of Cannes, presented a montage of Washington’s films, featuring Malcolm X and Mo’ Better Blues, two of Lee’s works.
