As a seasoned lifestyle expert with a keen eye for discerning the nuances of Hollywood, I have always admired Demi Moore‘s knack for selecting projects that push boundaries and resonate deeply with audiences. Her recent reflection on her decision to star in Ghost, a film that has become an iconic staple of cinema history, serves as a testament to her intuitive instincts.
Demi Moore carefully considers each project she takes on, having developed this approach over many years during her extensive acting career. Lately, she contemplated whether to join the cast of the movie starring herself and Patrick Swayze, entitled “Ghost”.
During her interview on The Hot Ones with host Sean Evans, Moore discussed her previous remarks concerning The Substance script, expressing that it could potentially be something extraordinary, or alternatively, a potential catastrophe.
Speaking of the same film, I must say the actress expressed that it carried an element worth taking a chance on. In fact, she felt similarly about the 1990 production as well due to its unique blend of various genres. To her, it was a gamble – “It could be spectacular or a catastrophic flop.” But, she continued, that’s exactly the kind of project that whispers, “Dive in. Take the risk. Throw the dice. Let’s find out what unfolds.
For those not familiar, the movie Ghost turned out to be a massive success at the box office, earning over half a billion dollars. Even today, it continues to be celebrated and admired for its exceptional acting and captivating plot.
During her interview on Hot Ones, the host inquired from the seasoned actress about the significant existential danger she perceived in the film industry, given her involvement in numerous projects over her career.
Moore stated, “I believe it would mean a diminishment of the shared cinema experience.” The actress from Streaptease further commented that this risk extends beyond films, hinting at a trend towards “solitude”. She emphasized that it’s the communal aspect of these experiences that fosters connections among us as we collectively partake in them.
She openly shared her affection for streaming and acknowledged its value. Additionally, she voiced her hope that we might discover a mutual interest in re-entering cinemas, so as not to completely let go of the experience.
