As a seasoned gamer and Marvel enthusiast who has spent countless hours immersed in the vibrant world of the MCU, I can’t help but feel a pang of disappointment upon learning about the scrapped scene between Bruce Banner and Hulk in Avengers: Endgame. The Soul Realm showdown would have undeniably been a spectacle, providing an emotional depth to two characters who have struggled with their shared identity for years.

The movie “Avengers: Endgame” was released quite some time ago, yet it remains one of the finest and most impactful comic book films ever made. This groundbreaking production revolutionized Marvel and the MCU, concluding a chapter and redefining the direction of the universe’s storyline moving forward. While that “forward” had its ups and downs.

However, although the film contained many scenes, some were left out during editing, becoming unused extras or ideas that never got filmed. Interestingly, according to a recent Tweet, an incredibly impactful scene was originally intended for the final version of the movie, but ultimately, the team decided not to shoot it.

The gathering featured a confrontation between Bruce Banner and the Hulk, taking place within the realm of souls. If you ask me, it would have been an incredible spectacle; however, the team opted against it, causing quite a stir among viewers who are disappointed by this turn of events!

Without a doubt, it appears that this situation offers a wonderful opportunity for fans, as the Hulk has been relatively underdeveloped within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This scene could’ve added layers of complexity to both Hulk and Bruce Banner, enriching their characters overall.

Currently, it’s unclear what led the team to exclude this particular scene (perhaps due to time constraints), yet the viewers, much like us, express their displeasure over this choice because they were looking forward to watching it too.

In a more expressive manner: I would have cherished this. To be clear, I don’t despise Smart Hulk, but I’ve always found it troubling that they merged Hulk with Banner in such a way because Hulk was his own entity, filled with emotions, personality, and memories. It seemed like they erased an iconic character without properly showing his demise on screen.

In this scenario, it would have been logical as we witness a struggle within Banner and Hulk. Given that Hulk has lost faith following his encounter with Thanos, and both characters could have benefited from a heart-to-heart conversation, such an exchange should ideally take place in the realm of their souls.
