Defeat Trokka Easily in The First Berserker: Khazan!

In the tenth mission, known as “Witch’s Castle,” Trokka serves as the primary antagonist. She was once an apprentice of Ozma, who was ostracized in her city due to her innate ability to manipulate water. Trokka’s battle arena is situated near Lydia’s Garden (Blade Nexus) within the city of Aldevir by Lake City. Most of her attacks result in a buildup of ice, and navigating her unpredictable attack patterns can be challenging. This guide will provide essential tips on defeating her, along with details about the rewards you’ll receive upon success, as featured in “The First Berserker: Khazan“.

Trokka Attack Overview In The First Berserker: Khazan

Attack Image How To Avoid
Water Orbs
Trokka conjures three glowing orbs in front of her, then proceeds to launch them at you one by one. Dodging these right before they hit is the best course of action.
Water Slam
The boss leaps back and strikes her umbrella on the water, performing a slash that travels in a straight line. She does this three times, so it is best to dodge all of them.
Umbrella Burst
Trokka moves back and charges forward with her umbrella, performing a Burst Attack. Counterattacking this lets you land multiple hits before she raises her umbrella as a shield.
Purple Jellyfishes
The boss spawns six jellyfish around her that burst on impact, inflicting poison. Stay away and rush back in as soon as the jellyfish disappear.
Purple Orbs
Trokka conjures multiple purple water orbs above her head and launches them at your location. A well-timed dodge should help you avoid damage.
Umbrella Skewer
The boss pulls her umbrella back, causing it to glow slightly before an audible cue signals an unblockable attack. The only option is to dodge out of the way.
Flying Jellyfish
Trokka jumps into the air, flying in a circular motion while spawning multiple purple jellyfish around the edges of the arena. She also summons two blue jellyfish that restore stamina upon impact. During this phase, she continuously fires water orbs, which you must dodge left and right multiple times, delaying your final dodge for the larger orb. She then launches multiple purple orbs simultaneously before executing an Umbrella Burst Attack, which you must counterattack.
Umbrella Dash
The boss dashes toward you with her umbrella extended. Dodge at the right moment to avoid this attack.
Umbrella Combo
Trokka can hit the player with her umbrella in a multi-hitting combo attack. Dodging or guarding both work well in this situation.
Water Slashes
The boss attempts to stay in the air while performing water slashes at your location, which can be easily dodged.
Umbrella Dive
Trokka dives into the water and then leaps out from your location. As soon as you see the water below you starting to glow, dodge backward to avoid the attack.

How To Beat Trokka In The First Berserker: Khazan

Trokka, one of the less difficult bosses in the game, can become remarkably tough if players don’t adopt an offensive strategy. This particular boss excels in long-range water magic, making her quite irritating when fought from afar during the battle. Moreover, most of her attacks result in Frost buildup, so it’s wiser to dodge instead of guarding or parrying.

As a gamer, when I get close to her, I can often disrupt most of her spell-casting by landing several hits on her during the casting animation. The water slam attack dishes out a ton of damage and can be tricky to dodge initially, but if I time it right by dodging and immediately attacking the boss, I can completely halt that attack sequence.

Occasionally, if Trokka senses you’re attacking too aggressively, she might summon several jellyfish near her. It’s important to vacate the area before they detonate, or else you’ll be exposed to their poison. This is distinct from the Venom status effect since your stamina bar will diminish significantly based on the number of charges below your health meter.

Following the depletion of nearly half her health meter, Trokka will execute the flying jellyfish attack for the first time. In this moment, it’s crucial to maintain focus on her attacks while positioning yourself near the blue jellyfish that replenish your stamina. Moving left and right after each orb lands should assist in dodging any damage, and a well-timed counterattack during her final burst attack can inflict substantial damage.

Given that most of her attacks result in Frost Buildup, it would be wise to carry some Water Potion for Cleansing and wear accessories that boost your resistance against the frost status condition.
