We previously announced that a second *Death Stranding* movie was in the works. Now, we’ve learned there’s also an anime film coming, written by Aaron Guzikowski, who created *Raised by Wolves*. This new film, currently titled *Death Stranding Mosquito*, isn’t based on the game’s story or characters, but it *is* set in the unique and unsettling world of *Death Stranding*, where the line between life and death is blurred.
Kojima Productions recently revealed the first trailer for director Hiroshi Miyamoto’s visually striking new film. The *Death Stranding Mosquito* trailer begins with an eerie underwater scene, transitions to a world populated by bizarre creatures, and culminates in a fierce battle.
If you understand what’s happening and why, then hello to you, Hideo Kojima! It’s a privilege to have you reading this. But if you only have a vague idea of what’s going on, we don’t think you’re being truthful.
We don’t know when it will be clear if the theories are correct, and the new trailer doesn’t give any clues about a release date. That’s not surprising, though – *Death Stranding* is famous for keeping its mysteries hidden. Just like the trailer, the game promises to be both exciting and strange, leaving you to piece things together as you go.
