Carpenter expressed his grief by describing Jason as one of the outstanding character actors in cinema.
Through a long and illustrious span of years, Jason gained fame for various characters, but he is particularly remembered as the bumbling card dealer Con Stapleton in HBO’s Deadwood. His professional journey commenced in the mid-1960s with the CBS comedy sketch program The Red Skelton Show.
In 1970, Rio Lobo marked his first appearance on the big screen. Besides that, he’s known for roles in TV shows like Here Come the Brides and Gunsmoke, as well as others. He also starred in Remington Steele, where Pierce Brosnan led the cast. Although his role was minor, Jason is also fondly remembered for portraying the soccer coach in The Karate Kid.
Hailing from July 1944, Jason spent his childhood in the sunny locale of Newport Beach. He pursued a passion for drama at Carnegie Mellon University. Following the sad news of his demise, friends and colleagues mourned his loss and extended their sympathies to those close to him.

Additionally, Matthew conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the family and dear companions of the departed actor. To end his tribute in a cheerful manner, he penned, “Peter, I imagine both you and my father are now enjoying a good laugh together up there.
