As a long-time fan who has witnessed the evolution of superhero movies, I must say that the collaboration between Deadpool and Wolverine was nothing short of phenomenal. The chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman was electric, and their on-screen banter was a delight to watch. The visual effects were simply stunning, with every action-packed scene leaving me in awe.
The film starring Deadpool and Wolverine was a massive hit during the summer season, raking in a staggering $1.338 billion worldwide. In the U.S. and Canada alone, it grossed an impressive $636.7 million, while overseas sales added another $701.3 million to its earnings. This places it as the second highest-grossing movie of 2024, trailing only ‘Inside Out 2,’ which earned a whopping $1.699 billion.
The initial appearance of Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe garnered positive responses, boasting a 7.7 rating on IMDb, a 78% approval from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and a remarkable 94% satisfaction among audiences.
After its online premiere, the film maintained its power, attracting 19.4 million viewers within a span of six days. Although it didn’t surpass Pixar’s animated sequel which garnered 30.5 million views in just five days, it clearly demonstrated its enduring appeal.
