Tom Hiddleston is back as Jonathan Pine in a new installment of the spy thriller The Night Manager. This season, Pine finds himself on another perilous mission. He’s currently living under an assumed identity – Alex Goodwin – in London, working as a relatively unknown officer for MI6, according to the trailer and information released by the show’s creators.
His peaceful existence is quickly disrupted. After noticing a past mercenary associated with Richard Roeper, he begins to investigate, which leads him to Teddy Dos Santos, a Colombian businessman and arms dealer portrayed by Diego Calva.
The past is a deadly weapon. The new season of The Night Manager streams January 11.

Olivia Colman returns as Angela Burr, and she convinces Pine to rejoin the investigation. She needs his help to expose a large-scale weapons deal. Pine then partners with Roxana Bolaños, played by Camila Morrone, to work on the case.
Okay, so she’s not exactly eager to help him, but she ends up pulling him into this world created by Dos Santos. And that’s when things get really interesting. He quickly realizes this isn’t some small-time operation; it’s a massive, dangerous plan to build a whole guerrilla army. There’s this intense scene in the trailer where he calls Burr out, saying, “You lied to me!” And Burr fires back, all defensive, with, “I had no choice. I saw a chance to nail investors, the politicians, the whole rotten bunch.” It sounds like a total conspiracy, and I’m hooked!
I’m totally hooked on this show! It’s crazy watching Pine investigate – everyone seems to be turning on each other, and new dangers pop up constantly. Apparently, he’s in a desperate race against time to reveal a plot that could bring down an entire country. Honestly, it’s getting so tense because you never know who’s going to betray him next! He’s really having to question everyone and figure out just how much he’s willing to risk before it all falls apart. It’s a wild ride!
The second season will begin with three episodes released on January 11th. Following that, a new episode will be available each Sunday, with the season concluding on February 1st. You can watch the show on Prime Video globally, and on BBC and BBC iPlayer in the U.K. Tom Hiddleston is also a producer on the show.
Season two welcomes new actors Indira Varma, Paul Chahidi, and Hayley Squires to the cast. Returning from season one are Alistair Petrie, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone, and Noah Jupe. The series is inspired by the characters of John le Carré, and this new season was created and executive produced by David Farr, with Georgi Banks-Davies directing.
