Comic Book sales rankings for 2025 are out, and it’s rough news for Marvel Comics.
New data from ICv2 shows that Marvel comics had a surprisingly low presence in 2025’s best-selling comics. Only eight Marvel titles made the Top 50, and the highest-ranking one—Ultimate Wolverine #1—didn’t appear until number 22 on the list.

That’s almost twenty-three positions lower than the top-selling comic, Deadpool/Batman #1, which combined characters from DC and Marvel.
Also notable: Amazing Spider-Man #1 — Marvel’s flagship title — didn’t hit until #25.

DC Comics was the clear leader, filling almost all of the Top 20 spots with popular Batman comics, deluxe Absolute Editions, and special releases like DC K.O. and the first issue of Martian Manhunter.

The Batman brand alone accounted for over a dozen spots in the Top 20.
The difference is striking and shows where fans focused their attention – and spending – in 2025. The results are clear: DC outperformed Marvel this year.
