DC Celebrates Start of 100th Anniversary Countdown at Comic-Con 2025

Washington D.C. starts its centennial celebrations at San Diego Comic-Con 2025 by presenting a comprehensive series of events and activities, focusing on the Golden Age (1935-1945) of comic books.

A Look Back at the Beginning

This summer at San Diego Comic-Con, DC Comics kicks off a ten-year anniversary celebration, culminating in its 100th year. To honor the decade where Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the comic book medium were born (1935–1945), they will be highlighting art and immersive experiences from this initial publishing era at booth #4544.

Free 1940s-Style Daily Planet at DC Newsstand

Visitors can grab a complimentary imitation of a 1940s Daily Planet newspaper at the DC stall. The paper features authentic DC comics advertisements, sneak peeks into future releases, and the complete DC panel and event plan for Comic-Con 2025.

Golden Age Cosplay Event

Guests are warmly invited to don their finest costumes inspired by the era of classic superheroes and make their way to the DC stand on Thursday, the 24th of July, between 5:00 and 6:00 PM, for an exclusive cosplay event.

New Sizzle Reel Available

Additionally, DC unveiled an exciting preview video focusing on the years 1935-1945 and hinting at upcoming events themed around each subsequent decade in their future celebrations.
