This year marked a historic collaboration as DC and Marvel teamed up for the first time in twenty years with Batman/Deadpool. They even released two different versions of this exciting event, one from each company. These crossovers included other pairings of heroes from both universes, like Wonder Woman and Captain America. Now, in 2026, DC and Marvel are joining forces again for a new crossover featuring Superman and Spider-Man. The timing is ideal, as Superman is currently enjoying a surge in popularity with David Corenswet in the role, and Spider-Man has the upcoming Brand New Day movie. DC will release Superman/Spider-Man #1 in March, and Marvel Comics will follow with Spider-Man/Superman #1 in April. Details about the creative teams working on this Superman and Spider-Man team-up will be revealed shortly.
Before the upcoming team-up, DC is revisiting its classic titles. DC will reprint two Treasury Edition (10 1/8” x 13 5/16”) comic books that honor the history of the original DC/Marvel crossovers. On January 7, 2026, DC will release Treasury Edition 50th Anniversary of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man #1, a faithful reproduction of the iconic comic that first brought together DC’s Man of Tomorrow and Marvel’s legendary Web-Slinger. Then, on February 4, DC will print another reprint, DC and Marvel Present: Superman and Spider-Man Treasury Edition #1, which is a reprint of Marvel Treasury Edition #28, making another sought-after, out-of-print comic available again. The team-up between Superman and Spider-Man was the first significant partnership between DC and Marvel.

The well-known Superman/Spider-Man team-up appeared in the DC/Marvel collection released last year. Unfortunately, it’s currently unavailable and hard to come by. Regarding the latest crossover, will the new Superman and Spidey comic include other stories pairing characters from DC and Marvel? We suspect it probably will. Similar to Batman/Deadpool, it will likely be the main story. Hopefully, we’ll see even more team-ups in the future. We are still eager for a Justice League/X-Men project. It has to be in development, doesn’t it? We’re keeping our hopes up.
