As a dedicated Days of Our Lives viewer with over two decades under my belt, I must say that this week’s episodes have been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride! Gabi’s struggle with her divorce and blaming EJ is as heart-wrenching as ever – it’s like watching my own messy divorces unfold on screen (and trust me, I’ve had plenty!).
On Tuesday’s Days of Our Lives, I found myself totally engrossed as Gabi Hernandez (Cherie Jimenez), a character I admire deeply, grappled with her divorce troubles, laying the blame squarely on EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). Simultaneously, Chad DiMerra (Billy Flynn), another favorite of mine, shared his ambitious plans with Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord) for a risky move against Clyde Weston (James Read). This scheme, he hoped, would not only uncover Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) remains but also lead to the rescue of Cat’s kidnapped mother. As an obsessed fan, I couldn’t help but hold my breath, eagerly waiting to see how these storylines unfolded!
While Gabi unloads her anger towards Stefan DiMera’s brother EJ, Chad devises a plan to protect Cat from Clyde’s grasp. By persuading EJ to dismiss charges against Cat, Chad manages to pacify Clyde while simultaneously moving closer to the truth. With Chad’s plot in action, he and Cat collaborate to trick Clyde and obtain crucial information. Chad is optimistic that his trickery will lead him to Abigail’s remains, and Cat clings to the possibility that her mother might still be alive.
In another part of the story, AlexAnn Hopkins’ character, Joy Wesley, uncovers Leo Stark’s involvement in her parents’ separation. She learns that he is not just a suspect but also the chief writer for the show “Body & Soul”. Leo seems regretful about his actions, yet Craig Wesley’s (Kevin Spirtas) confession about his sexuality helped bring truth to his relationship with Nancy Miller (Patrika Darbo). On the other hand, Carson Boatman’s character, Johnny DiMera, grapples with feelings of guilt as he prepares for a rehearsed romantic scene with Chanel (Raven Bowens) and Alex (Robert Scott Wilson), all while still haunted by his one-night stand with Joy.
Back in Salem, I make my way to the Horton residence, finding myself face-to-face with Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes). She shares some devastating news about Doug Williams’ (Bill Hayes) deteriorating health, a reality that hits me hard.
In the ongoing saga of Chad’s risky plan and Gabi’s intense encounters, coupled with heartfelt family scenes, Days of Our Lives keeps spinning a complex tapestry of love, sorrow, and mystery. Don’t miss out as these plots thicken and offer unexpected turns in the town of Salem.
