In the May 29th edition of Days of Our Lives, following Rachel’s revelation that she witnessed Johnny and EJ having a gunfight on the night EJ was shot, Kristen inquired as to why Rachel hadn’t spoken up earlier about this incident.
Given the circumstances – with Rachel having no desire to involve Johnny in any trouble, as EJ had abducted her grandmother – it could be said that “EJ received what he rightfully earned.
Afterward, Rachel admits she didn’t witness Johnny pulling the trigger. Instead, she got frightened, dashed up the stairs, and resumed sleeping. Kristen advises them to hide this detail. As Rachel tightly gripped her abdomen, she wept, saying she was feeling unwell.
Belle and Jada talk about arresting Philip’s attacker
Currently, Belle – who’s firmly committed to apprehending Philip’s attacker – is on the lookout for the CCTV footage from the Salem Inn. Additionally, she had a conversation with someone who observed Xander in the square when the assault occurred.
Jada is seeking a reason right now, but Belle informs her that there’s an explanation, though she must be patient until Philip wakes up.
Simultaneously at the hospital, Kayla voices her frustration over Xander and EJ’s bullying. She hints at a strategy she has in mind, when suddenly Xander appears behind her.
He inquired whether Sarah was at work. The trio of Maggie, Julie, and Kayla inform him that he needs to go through them if he wants to reach his wife. He replied that it’s fine because things would change once he buys the hospital. EJ then interjected, clarifying that it should be ‘if,’ not ‘when,’ he purchases the hospital.
Later on, Kayla discloses her idea for the board members to cast anonymous votes, ensuring that neither she nor anyone else can exert undue influence or bully others in the process.
Kristen fills in Brady about what Rachel told her
In the hospital, Kristen confides in Brady about something Rachel had shared with her. Brady expresses his desire to discuss this matter with the police, but she cautions him, pointing out that Child Protective Services (CPS) is still a factor in their lives. Before he leaves for the board meeting, she asks him to keep this information confidential.
After all the votes had been cast, the women later informed Brady that they simply required his presence. Meanwhile, as Xander passed by, he mentioned that EJ had pressured Brady into voting for him. However, Kayla clarified that the votes remained anonymous.
Later on, she privately confides in Brady that the outcome was inconclusive, leaving the fate of the hospital under his control. However, just as he was about to make a move, Jada suddenly appears and apprehends Xander publicly, with both EJ and others witnessing the event.
