Due to a merger and Wei Shin’s betrayal, the business is now in their possession. Despite her protests, the sale is finalized. She threatens to quit, but they remain unfazed—she’s merely a figurehead as long as she complies with their wishes.
Sarah overhears Alex grumbling about Philip’s rise at Titan, blaming it on Sarah’s deceit. “That sneaky bastard Philip controls not just one, but two companies unfairly,” Alex says to Sarah. Sarah advises them both to remember the bigger picture: Philip and Xander are now in agreement.
At Abe and Paulina’s home, Johnny peruses an article in The Spectator that stirs memories of taking Roman’s firearm. As Chad arrives, Johnny confesses he hasn’t visited EJ yet and isn’t sure if he even cares. His anger over EJ’s past with Sami still lingers, as their adoption fell through. Chad advises him not to miss this chance to bid farewell. Johnny listens, promising to think it over.
Simultaneously, Sami discovers Belle confessing her affection for EJ, who is unconscious. The situation becomes tense rather swiftly. Sami accuses Belle of being a substitute, to which Belle replies that EJ pursued her. Sami scolds Belle, stating, “I’m trying to be polite here, but you can’t blame me for reacting when I find out my little sister is declaring her love for the father of my children.
Upstairs, Kate is taken aback by an unanticipated appearance from Rex. He assures her that EJ had no part in the assault, and as they’re ready to delve deeper, Kate gets a celebratory message from Philip.
