Days of our Lives April 4 Episode Recap: EJ in Surgery with Chad by His Side; Drunk Jada Loses Her Gun

The shocking revelation about EJ being shot sent ripples through Salem in last Friday’s Days of Our Lives episode. As the forensics team scrutinized the DiMera mansion, Kristen returns home to find a crime scene and is promptly questioned by JJ, who aggressively presses her for details about her recent whereabouts.

As a fervent admirer putting this into perspective, when Kristen inquired, “Could you clarify, was someone responsible for shooting my beloved brother?”, I couldn’t help but share the heart-wrenching details. Chad had discovered EJ lying helplessly on the floor, a solitary bullet wound to his chest, and the room drenched in blood. I also shared that EJ was still undergoing surgery at that moment.

Kristen admits to a past relationship with Brady, but doesn’t disclose the danger she presented to EJ. Denying any wrongdoing, JJ cautions her about her violent past and advises her against leaving town.

During the heated exchange with Leo, Gabi openly shows her contempt for EJ by referring to him as a “reprobate” and praising the shooter as a “brave soul”. However, she realizes her mistake when she discovers she’s been speaking to a journalist, fearing she might be implicated. After Leo leaves, Gabi anxiously monitors developments regarding EJ and accidentally runs into JJ, who likewise queries her about the incident.

In the meantime, Shawn tells Jada about EJ being shot. Jada, who had been drinking away her troubles at a bar after being kicked out by Rafe, runs into Shawn. Clearly drunk, she realizes her gun is missing. Shawn stops her from returning to work and suggests she rest instead.

At Rafe’s residence, Javi learns about Jada’s unfaithfulness towards Shawn. In an attempt, Javi requests forgiveness from Rafe on Jada’s behalf, however, his plea falls on deaf ears.

EJ survived the operation at the hospital, yet remains in a critical state. Chad has been steadfastly by his brother’s side, expressing regrets for past wrongdoings.

At the hospital, Chad stays near EJ, telling him, “I’ll stand by your side no matter what. I understand if you feel uncomfortable with me here, given our recent disagreement over that article about you. Regardless, I’m afraid the consequences are unfortunate. You’re my brother, and I love you dearly. Until you recover, I won’t leave you alone.

The plot deepens, for nearly everyone in Salem seems to have a reason to conceal something, and perhaps a hidden agenda—tune into Days of Our Lives on Peacock to unravel the enigma.
