On April 30, 2025, the Days of Our Lives episode finds Susan rushing to the hospital to scold her son for being out of bed, caught reading at a table instead. However, EJ explains that his son required him in that moment, as he could sense it. Consequently, EJ feels compelled to visit his son and mend their relationship.

Johnny remembers that Chanel had asked him to leave following his discovery of Johnny sleeping on the DiMera couch. This left Paulina puzzled as well. Later, she advises Johnny not to brood over it but instead, he should clear things up with Chanel.

Paulnia continues to advise him, suggesting he overcomes this hurdle with the support of a robust partner and encourages him to strive for the salvation of his marriage. In due course, Susan pays a visit and informs Johnny that EJ is anxious to connect with him.

In the episode, we observe a discussion between Paulina and Chanel, during which Chanel expresses her worries. Later, Paulina suggests that this could be a challenging time for Chanel and her husband, encouraging them to cling to each other, forgive, and allow their love to guide them through it.

While Susan shared the news that things would work out for both Chanel and EJ, who was expected home soon, Johnny inquired, “How long will it be?” As EJ arrived with a cane, Johnny momentarily considered leaving, but his grandmother tried to hold him back, hoping to smooth everything over.

As Johnny is brushing Susan, she jumps back and informs EJ that Johnny has a “really nasty secret.” Meanwhile, in the same episode, EJ remembers the location of the memory card from Rafe’s camera.

Later on, Channel and Jonny cross paths at the town square, but instead of engaging with him, Chanel decides to visit the local bakery.

Meanwhile, as Susan ascends the stairs, EJ takes a seat at the desk, retrieves the memory card for the aftw and inserts it into his tablet. In this scene, viewers observe a recording showing EJ’s shoulder and Johnny aiming a gun over him.
