Fans of Dawson’s Creek experienced a delightful blast from the past when Joshua Jackson humorously reenacted a meet-up scenario between Pacey and Dawson, in collaboration with Jimmy Fallon.
On The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Jackson briefly took on his character from Dawson’s Creek, Pacey Witter. Fallon warmly greeted the actor known for Dr. Odyssey, and they acted out a heartfelt reunion scene between these beloved buddies.
From 1998 to 2003, the widely-known teen series unfolded its storyline, centering on a tight-knit group of friends living in Capeside. James Van Der Beek portrayed Dawson Leery, Katie Holmes played Joey Potter, Michelle Williams took on the role of Jen Lindley, and Jackson starred as Pacey Witter.
In the course of discussing Joshua Jackson, Fallon said, “As for the many ‘Dawson’s Creek’ enthusiasts present tonight, I have a special treat. To pay tribute to that, here’s Joshua Jackson joining us to reenact an authentic scene from ‘Dawson’s Creek’.
Spectators erupted in a deafening cheer as the pair unveiled their upcoming characters. Meanwhile, Fallon delved into Dawson’s persona, and Jackson started by saying, “You know, after all this time. Just look at us, we made it through.
During their usual deep talk as close friends, he added, “Things were going well for me until I had the burden of being labeled the local troublemaker weighing me down.
Immediately, Fallon said, “Pacey, it wasn’t that you were always causing trouble in town. Instead, you chose not to follow the norms,” and Jackson replied, “And you chose not to bend them.
Over a span of six seasons and 128 episodes, the teen drama series “Dawson’s Creek” gained immense popularity, significantly boosting the careers of its youthful cast members. This captivating show delved into various aspects of adolescence, encompassing themes like friendship, first love, self-discovery, homosexuality, homophobia, mortality, social class, mental health, and many others.
In simpler terms, we can say that the character of Pacey, portrayed by Jackson, was initially presented as the rebellious, nonconformist teenager who was often seen as the outcast in the group. However, he shared a deep friendship with Van Der Beek’s character since their childhood days.
On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Joshua Jackson, wearing a Hawaiian-style shirt reminiscent of Pacey’s, brought an extra dose of nostalgia to their amusing skit. To wrap up the act, they sang Paula Cole’s I Don’t Want to Wait together.
