A long-standing debate among rock fans centers around who was the better lead singer for Van Halen. Opinions are often strongly divided, as both Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth brought unique styles to the band. While Hagar was a capable vocalist, some felt he focused too much on showmanship. Roth, in contrast, took a different approach.
If you’re a fan of David Lee Roth, you’re in luck! While he won’t be touring with Van Halen, he’s embarking on a pretty extensive solo tour this year. The tour kicks off in April and runs through June, with a single show in August after a month-long break.
Tickets first became available to a select group on Tuesday, January 6th at 10 am local time. They will be available to everyone else on Friday, January 9th, also at 10 am local time.
David Lee Roth announces a slew of tour dates for 2026
The concerts will feature both Van Halen classics and songs from David Roth’s solo work. Most of the songs will be well-known hits, and it’s worth noting that Roth hasn’t released a solo album in 20 years.
