David Henrie Hints At Wizards of Waverly Place Revival Cameo By THIS Former Co-Star

As a die-hard fan who grew up watching Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place, this news about the long-awaited revival series, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, has me absolutely spellbound! The idea of seeing Alex Russo’s werewolf boyfriend, Mason Greyback (played by Gregg Sulkin), making a comeback is enough to make any fan’s heart skip a beat.

David Henrie, in an exchange with fans on social media, subtly hinted that Gregg Sulkin could make an appearance in the upcoming revival series of Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place. Known for portraying Alex Russo’s werewolf boyfriend, Mason Greyback, Sulkin has built a strong fan base within the show’s community. Henrie’s post, which included two photos of himself and Sulkin on the Wizards set, seemed to suggest that his former co-star might be part of the spin-off series titled “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.

In his post, Henrie playfully hinted, “Can you guess who dropped by recently? None other than @greggsulkin” and added a wolf emoji, causing excitement among fans who were eager for their reunion. A fan inquired if Sulkin was merely visiting the set or filming; he responded, “I’m just visiting at the moment,” but included the phrase “For now…” in his reply.

Danielle Fishel, an actress known for her role on Boy Meets World, expressed excitement by saying, “Wow! Too much to handle! Two of my all-time favorites are about to be together!

As a lifestyle expert looking back, I’m thrilled to share that by January, there was an official announcement about a Wizards revival! The talented Selena Gomez will be reprising her role as Alex Russo, and she’ll even take on the executive producer role. Fast forward to May, ABC and Disney Up Fronts event unveiled the title and some tantalizing first look images of this highly anticipated series.

In my own words as a dedicated fan: I’m reminiscing about the beloved Disney Channel show, Wizards of Waverly Place, which aired in the early 2000s. Now, fast forward to the present, and we find Justin Russo (Henrie) living an ordinary life, far from his wizarding days. His family includes Giada (Mimi Gianopulos), Roman (Alkaio Thiele), and Milo (Max Matenko). However, things take a magical turn when my sister Alex (Gomez) needs help training a new apprentice, Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown). This unexpected development draws me closer to my wizard roots, as I find myself balancing the role of mentor while managing my everyday life.

In simpler terms, the official summary indicates that Justin Russo will need to reactivate his magic abilities to teach a novice wizard, all while managing his daily tasks and ensuring the protection of the Wizarding Realm’s future.

In February, David DeLuise and Jennifer Stone, former stars of a popular show, convened in a podcast called Wizards of Waverly Pod. They had a chat with David Henrie about the possibility of Jerry Russo and Harper returning to the series. DeLuise expressed that although it was unexpected for these characters to resurface so quickly, there’s a chance they could be reunited.

The upcoming sequel is set to debut with its first two episodes on Disney Channel at 8:00 PM ET on October 29th, Tuesday. You can stream the initial eight episodes on Disney+ starting from the next day.
