Despite the public drama involving singer Lily Allen, David Harbour remains in a relationship with Natalie Tippett, who was the subject of Allen’s breakup album.
Lily Allen, age 40, and David Harbour, 50, known for his role in Stranger Things, separated in December of last year. It was later reported that David had been having an affair for three years, and this became a major topic explored in Lily’s 14-song album, West End Girl.
Lily publicly identified a woman named Madeline – later revealed to be Natalie Tippett – in what appeared to be a criticism of her.
Natalie has stated publicly that she did not have a long-term affair with David. In an Instagram post, she explained, “I didn’t have a three-year affair with anyone. I don’t understand why someone is trying to create a false story and turn people against me, especially when I have messages proving it’s not true.”

Even though people have been saying things about them, Natalie and David are still in touch. They continue to follow each other on Instagram, suggesting they haven’t cut ties.
After Lily appeared on Saturday Night Live, Natalie explained her perspective in a series of posts on Instagram.
Honestly, watching this unfold has been tough. She came across as genuinely hurt, saying Lily’s songs felt like a real violation. It’s clearly had a big impact on her life – she described it as a major disruption. She’d been hoping to avoid talking about it, but she’s understandably frustrated with what she sees as a false story being spread, and she felt she needed to set the record straight.
She explained her position, stating she doesn’t blame women for the actions of men, particularly when it comes to relationships that aren’t exclusive. She expressed hope for the other woman’s well-being, wishing her success, financial security, healing, and happiness in whatever she’s pursuing.
Natalie, who is raising a child on her own, said she’s aware that speaking up could cause problems for her. So far, David Harbour hasn’t commented publicly on either Lily’s accusations or Natalie’s comments.
In “West End Girl,” Lily Allen openly addresses the situation. The song “Madeline” features her questioning the nature of a relationship: “How long has this been happening? Is it just sex, or are there real feelings involved?” Another track, “Tennis,” references Natalie again, with lyrics like: “I read your text and immediately wished I hadn’t. I don’t understand why you’re leading me on. If it was just a casual thing, I wouldn’t be jealous. You won’t commit to me, and who is this Madeline?”
Fans are eagerly following the latest developments in the complicated relationship between Lily, David, and Natalie.
