David Harbor Shares Major Update About Stranger Things Season 5; Reveals THIS Episode Is The ‘Best They’ve Ever Done’

As a lifestyle expert with a penchant for binge-watching and analyzing television series, I’ve witnessed the evolution of many popular shows, but none quite as mesmerizing as Stranger Things. David Harbour, the grizzled yet lovable Jim Hopper, has shared some tantalizing tidbits about the upcoming fifth season finale, and as a fan who’s been along for the ride since day one, I can confidently say that my excitement is at an all-time high.

Actor David Harbour from Stranger Things has spilled the beans on some thrilling possibilities lined up for the conclusion of the show’s fifth season on Netflix. He discussed what fans can expect from the final episode.

In the festivities for the 10th anniversary of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the actor who portrays Jim Hopper in Stranger Things, Harbour, shared some firm views about the show that might not align with viewers’ perspectives.

On October 17, 2024, the Violent Night actor expressed his disapproval towards the show by saying, “This is a show I’m quite critical of, but I must admit that their latest episode, where they successfully landed the plane, was their best work yet.

Reminiscing about the moment we all gathered to read the final script of Stranger Things Season Five, I, a die-hard fan amongst us, couldn’t help but notice tears streaming down the faces of my fellow cast members. The emotions were running high as we delved deeper into the heartrending finale.

Over the past twenty minutes, I found myself inconsolable, swept away by a torrent of various emotions. Noah Schnapp, who’s my absolute favorite, was the source of this emotional whirlwind. In jest, the Black Widow star mimicked Noah’s tearful outburst.

In discussing the lead characters, Harbour mentioned that for the actors like Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, and Caleb McLachlan, Stranger Things has essentially become their own childhood experience.

Currently, Brown is 20 years old but she first portrayed Eleven at the age of 11. Similarly, Wolfhard was 12 when he began his role in the series, now being 21. Matarazzo, McLaughlin, and Schnapp, who are 22, 23, and 20 respectively, started acting when they were 13, 14, and 11 years old.

In terms of discussing the upcoming season of the show, David Harbour hinted that the concept has been thoughtfully developed and visually portrayed with great care.

This is an outstanding episode, and it’s part of an amazing season,” the actor from Brokeback Mountain said, wrapping up his comments.

Although the streamer hasn’t disclosed the specific plot for the forthcoming season yet, it could potentially focus on the young residents of Hawkins, who are trying to vanquish Vecna in their efforts to defeat her.

Apart from the actress who played Enola Holmes, together with Wolfhard, Matarazzo, McLaughlin, Schnapp, and Harbour, the next season could potentially feature some renowned talents like Winona Ryder, Maya Hawke, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Priah Ferguson, Sadie Sink, and others.

You can stream the first four seasons of Stranger Things on Netflix.
