David Boreanaz Reveals He Was Suprised To Meet Young Fans Of Bones Years After It Ended; See Here

As a die-hard fan of David Boreanaz‘s illustrious career, I find myself utterly captivated by his journey through the silver screen. From the mystical realms of Buffy and Angel to the forensic labyrinth of Bones, and now the battlefields of SEAL Team, his roles have not only entertained but also educated us for over two decades!

As a devoted fan, I was taken aback by David Boreanaz’s astonishment over Bones’ enduring appeal to modern viewers. Airing from 2005 to 2017, this captivating series has managed to maintain its popularity among millennials, thanks in part to its availability on streaming platforms like Hulu and Prime Video.

During an interview with PEOPLE, while promoting the final season of his current show SEAL Team, Boreanaz shared an intriguing tale. In a recent episode of LIVE with Kelly and Mark, he was taken aback by an unexpected fan base. As it turned out, two young girls, aged around 10 and 12, were present for a fashion show. Boreanaz expressed surprise over whether these children could have been watching something that had long since gone off the air.

Seeley Booth, portrayed by David Boreanaz in Bones, and Dr. Temperance Brennan, played by Emily Deschanel, made a fantastic team on screen. The show combined elements of crime investigation with humor, as confirmed by Boreanaz who found his role rewarding. Notably, the two actors also built rapport off-camera to enhance their performances. As David Boreanaz stated, “Emily and I asked ourselves, ‘How can we redefine the typical half-hour procedural?'” Occasionally, they would collaborate with an acting coach on weekends and revise certain scenes for a more harmonious dynamic. Moreover, Boreanaz emphasized that their work extended beyond merely memorizing lines; it was essential for them to establish genuine bonds between each other.

Despite pouring a great deal of effort into the project, it’s amusing that he asserts he didn’t learn anything substantial about forensics from his character. “Emily was the one who dealt with forensics; I was merely the sarcastic officer with quirky props, and I mainly focused on comedy.”

In the popular TV show Bones, he significantly boosted his public image, yet he clarified that it’s distinct from his current work. His role in SEAL Team, however, has been demanding and has led to physical complications. Due to these challenges related to acting, he mentioned that he has recently undergone multiple MRIs on various parts of his body. “I take great care of my health,” he added, “but eventually, your body doesn’t move as it once did… I believe I’ve had four MRIs in the last four months, for my knees, hips, and shoulders. It’s been quite an experience,” he explained. This was one of the factors leading to his decision to wrap up this series.

After completing his tenure on SEAL Team, Boreanaz is planning for new ventures. Although he didn’t reveal exact details, there were indications of intriguing projects in the offing. He stated, “I have my sights set,” and added, “My work approach is to stay focused, live in the present, and not dwell on the past or future.”

The August 11 debut saw the start of the final season for SEAL Team, with the first two episodes available only on Paramount+. New episodes will be released weekly. His acting career spanning over 27 years has included memorable roles in Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel, which are reflected in his recent work on Bones and SEAL Team. These diverse shows attract viewers from all age groups.

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but be thrilled by the ongoing success of “Bones.” With each passing season, it continues to draw in new fans, which fills me – and, more importantly, Boreanaz – with excitement for what lies ahead in his career.
