David Beckham Says Convincing Victoria for Netflix Doc Was Tough: “‘It’s So Emotional and the Drama’s Real’

David Beckham disclosed fresh insights regarding Victoria Beckham’s forthcoming Netflix documentary, admitting that persuading her to participate wasn’t a straightforward task.

At MIP London, Beckham shared that while his Netflix show “Beckham” has been successful, Victoria expressed reservations about taking center stage for her own documentary series.

He confessed that it took some time to persuade her, as it wasn’t an easy task. “I believe I was the one who could ultimately sway her opinion, and I managed to do so, after a while.

In this role, I’m excited to share that I’ll be part of a fascinating documentary in the making. This production, spearheaded by Studio 99, the creative powerhouse of David Beckham, and skillfully directed by Nadia Hallgren, who brought us ‘Becoming’, promises an exclusive look at Victoria’s transformative journey. From her Spice Girls days to her ascent as a renowned fashion designer, this documentary offers a unique glimpse into her life’s evolution. David himself has underscored the tireless efforts Victoria has made over the past two decades to establish and grow her brand.

He remarked, “My wife is incredibly dedicated and has spent the last two decades developing her business.” He went on to say, “This documentary will reveal many unexpected aspects… Perhaps some viewers might assume that she effortlessly launched this brand, but the truth is, she’s put in a lot of hard work over time.

The documentary will additionally feature poignant and intense scenes. During his discussion, Beckham mentioned a highly pressured incident he encountered during Paris Fashion Week.

As usual, I arrived a day early to check out the venue and rehearse with her. Generally, I’m not concerned about her performances, but this time I felt uneasy.
