As per reports from IGN, he’s involved in creating a series titled Cat Assassin, where our protagonist is none other than a cat who is, you guessed it, an assassin. Bautista’s production company, Dogbone Entertainment, is working on adapting Steve Lerner’s Cat Assassin story for a new franchise that includes an animated series, video games, and publications. In a hard-boiled feline metropolis populated by diverse cat characters, Cat Assassin revolves around Hugh, a masterful assassin navigating the treacherous web of crime syndicates and influential figures in a corrupted urban jungle. The series offers an intriguing mix of wit, thrilling action sequences, and strategic stealth elements.
Bautista stated that working with Titan1Studios on the game Cat Assassin was a delight. The studio’s talent for constructing animated worlds is remarkable, and they’ve crafted a one-of-a-kind universe in this game that he can’t wait to unveil to players. Since Steve Lerner, the creator of Cat Assassin, is also the writer behind the Annapurna Interactive game Stray, we’re curious: if there are feline assassins in this world, might there be canine mercenaries or rabbit hitmen as well? Surely, it would add to the intrigue and diversity, wouldn’t it?
Currently, there’s no confirmed launch date for any project within the “Cat Assassin” series, and we can’t predict which medium (movie, TV series, comic book, or game) will debut first.
