Nielsen published a ranking of the most-watched and top 100 TV shows from 2024 to 2025, and it turns out that “Daredevil: Born Again” didn’t perform as well as expected, since its ratings placed it at the very bottom of the list.
Daredevil: Born Again created a new milestone for Marvel by having none of its episodes appear on the Nielsen ratings charts, marking the first time this has happened within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
The show is significantly more popular than “Marvel’s Agatha” and even manages to rank below the Star Wars series, “Skeleton Crew,” in the weekly Nielsen charts.
Disney+ enables Nielsen tracking by default on user accounts, which is a common practice across the industry for assessing audience numbers.
Nielsen Top 100 Shows Revealed: Daredevil Bombs, Squid Game Dominates
I’ve just come across some exciting news! For the very first time, Nielsen has shared their multiplatform rankings, revealing the top 100 shows. You can find the complete list over at Variety.

Marvel’s Agatha? Nearly double that at #45 with 9M viewers.

Topping the chart includes:
- Squid Game (Netflix) – 27.1M
- Adolescence (Netflix) – 19M
- Tracker (CBS) – 17.4M viewers
- Reacher (Prime Video) – 17.3M
- High Potential (ABC) – 16.1M
- Matlock (CBS) – 16M
- Landman (Paramount+) – 15.8M

- Nobody Wants This (Netflix) – 15.2M
Can Marvel Save Daredevil? Season 2 Tries to Clean Up the Mess
Marvel is working on a second season for “Daredevil: Born Again,” hoping to surpass the quality of Season 1. The first season encountered an issue where Marvel chose to revise the series, aiming to align it more closely with the Netflix version. Unfortunately, they didn’t make significant improvements as they retained much of the footage and storyline from before.
As a film enthusiast, I’m thrilled by the prospect of seeing Krysten Ritter return as Jessica Jones, and I can’t wait to witness more of Charlie Cox in his iconic Daredevil suit. And here’s hoping Vincent D’Onofrio finds a way to tone down the tears when portraying the Kingpin – it would be great to see some tougher, grittier scenes from him!
Charlie Cox has also promised Season 2 will be better:
I’d hate to exaggerate, but I genuinely believe this writing for the show is among the finest we’ve produced. It’s probably what everyone says when they’re proud of their work, but I can’t help feeling that way. I recently texted our showrunner, Dario, expressing my admiration for his work so far. He’s managed to develop characters that were previously underdeveloped in the previous version of the show, making it feel more like a team effort than ever before.
In addition to the positive updates, it’s worth mentioning that Jon Bernthal is working on a standalone Punisher project, and rumors suggest he will be appearing in the upcoming Spider-Man film number 4. His character is expected to square off against Tom Holland’s Hulk in this installment.
