In the thrilling finale of Daredevil: Born Again’s first season, New York City lies in ruins under Fisk’s martial law. Anyone daring to resist or resemble a vigilante faces imprisonment… or graver consequences. I, Matt Murdock, am racing against time to gather an army to challenge Fisk. By the end of the season, three significant groups have emerged: Team Daredevil, Team Fisk, and Team Revenge/Rogues. Almost every key and supporting character has picked their allegiance, setting up a combustible stage for the next chapter of Daredevil: Born Again.

Who Is on Team Matt Murdock/Daredevil in Daredevil: Born Again? 

As a film enthusiast, I’m excited to share that my beloved Team Daredevil is back together! Karen Page, Matt Murdock’s legal partner Kirsten McDuffie, the wise retired policeman Cherry, Detective Angie Kim, and bar owner Josie are all on board. Add to this a handful of trusted NYPD officers, and we’ve got a solid foundation – albeit small – but it’s a start! Moreover, there’s a significant number of New York City citizens who stand behind the vigilantes and aren’t fond of Wilson Fisk’s policies. It’s reassuring to know that we have each other and our supporters in this fight for justice!

Who Is on Team Wilson Fisk/Kingpin in Daredevil: Born Again? 

Wilson Fisk’s group has several typical suspects, such as his wife Vanessa, his apprentice Daniel Blake, his trusted associate Buck Cashman, various crooks he works with, and the corrupt cops who make up the anti-vigilante task force. However, seeing him crush a man’s head with his bare hands would sway me to support him.

Not only does Fisk gain a new ally in Matt’s girlfriend Heather Glenn, who assumes the role of Mental Health Commissioner, but it appears that many NYC residents sympathetic to Fisk will continue to back him due to their blackmailed support for his project. Just as vigilantes have their followers, so too does Fisk count among his supporters some city civilians.

Who Is Team Revenge/Rogue/Do Whatever I Wanna Do? 

It’s common knowledge that Frank Castle is the leading figure of the “do as I please” crusade. Although he once protected Matt Murdock, he is also prepared to silence his annoying followers who are tarnishing the Punisher’s emblem. In an extra scene after the credits, it seems that the Punisher manages to break free from confinement. Now, he’s set on targeting Wilson Fisk for retaliation. Matt has ideas to establish his own group and will undoubtedly encounter him again, but Frank isn’t really a team player, especially not in the non-lethal sense that Matt intends.

Excluding the Punisher, several characters are pursuing their personal goals. Journalist BB is determined to take down Kingpin (Fisk), but regrettably, the NYPD Commissioner won’t be able to assist as he has passed away. Instead, it seems that Angela del Toro is poised to become the new White Tiger and avenge her uncle’s death, with a further intention of targeting the Kingpin as well.

In episode 8, it was Fisk who attempted to blackmail Duquesne, who is currently incarcerated due to his identity as the vigilante known as the Swordsman. Given his situation, it’s likely he’ll want to escape and retaliate. Moreover, Dex, also known as Bullseye, is a character with no allegiance whatsoever, intent on killing Fisk. This already presents a complex situation. However, there could be additional vigilantes emerging in the chaos, each with their own motives, adding even more layers to this whirlwind.

As a supporter, I’m excited to share that the upcoming season of “Daredevil: Born Again” promises dynamic shifts among Team Daredevil, Team Fisk, and Team Rogue. For the moment, however, the cityscape of New York City is brimming with chaos as the stage has been skillfully set for an unforgettable tale to unfold.
