Daredevil’s ‘Born Again’ Flops Completely on Nielsen Charts

Has the first quartet of Daredevil: Born Again fallen off the Nielsen TV rating lists, or can they go even lower in terms of audience numbers?

Last week, following the airing of episode four, Nielsen’s ratings reveal that Daredevil: Born Again did not make an appearance on the list yet again.

In Disney+ accounts, Nielsen ratings get activated by default, making them the widely-used benchmark for tracking viewing statistics across the media industry.

What are the ratings?

It’s clear that, since Netflix’s “Running Point” racked up a total of 373 million minutes watched, it logically follows that the fourth episode of “Daredevil: Born Again,” which was released around the same time, saw fewer views.

464 million minutes were spent watching the last episode, while the first two episodes that were released together accumulated approximately 465 million minutes of viewing time.

Conversely, that 373 figure offers a clearer insight into the situation surrounding Daredevil: Born Again. It seems the numbers indicate a much more dire state of affairs than initially assumed.

Additionally, it implies that none of the viewers are marathon-watching the show, since Nielsen’s ratings include all episodes released within a specific week. Interestingly, this particular episode brought back Jon Bernthal in his role as The Punisher.

Previously, Disney disclosed that less Marvel enthusiasts are viewing “Daredevil: Born Again” compared to “Agatha”. However, we do possess Nielsen data for “Agatha”, which likely provides a near-accurate representation of the viewership for Daredevil.

Only the final two episodes out of the whole series would likely have garnered attention if they were released alongside Daredevil, according to the ratings. Interestingly, Agatha saw a noticeable improvement with those last two episodes, suggesting that fans might be holding off until the entire Daredevil: Born Again collection is available before tuning in. While most of the episodes are mediocre at best, the final episode stands out as quite good. It remains to be seen if it will manage to make it onto the Nielsen charts.

Daredevil: Born Again is already in the works and gets released March 2026.
