Good news for Marvel fans! Daredevil: Born Again is returning for a second season, set to premiere on Disney+ on March 24, 2026. A recent trailer offered a sneak peek at the new season, and fans are already excited. Marvel has announced that the show will now be released annually, with plans for a third season already underway for next year.
The latest preview highlights a team-up fans have wanted to see: Matt Murdock and Jessica Jones, with Krysten Ritter reprising her role. This is Ritter’s first return to the character since her series concluded in 2019. Charlie Cox, speaking at a recent event, explained that the dynamic between the two characters is naturally balanced, with both giving and receiving equally. He also shared that both actors were excited to finally share the screen as these two characters again.

According to Marvel TV head Brad Winderbaum, Jessica Jones will make multiple appearances in Season 2, much like the Punisher did in Season 1. Charlie Cox highlighted that the playful, yet effective, chemistry between the characters will continue. He explained, “We aimed for a fun, back-and-forth dynamic where they tease each other, but also work together to advance the story.”
The new season will be more intense and realistic, focusing on a dangerous game of cat and mouse. Wilson Fisk, now the Mayor of New York, is using his authority to hunt down Daredevil, forcing Matt to fight back secretly. The season’s central ideas are about fighting back, challenging the status quo, and building something new. Beloved characters like Karen Page and Bullseye will return, and a new villain, Mr. Charles, played by Matthew Lillard, will emerge to threaten Fisk’s power.
Both Charlie Cox and Krysten Ritter have been working on projects outside of their roles as Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Cox has done voice work for the animated series Spider-Man: Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man and will appear in upcoming Marvel movies. Ritter expressed her joy at reprising her role as Jessica Jones, calling it a special treat for fans. She shared, “I really connect with the character’s inner strength and her ability to help those who feel different or alone.”
Dario Scardapane and the writers of recent Loki episodes are part of the creative team, promising a show with the same level of quality. As Matt Murdock gathers allies and Wilson Fisk tightens his grip on the city, the danger in Hell’s Kitchen is reaching a new peak.
