The actress who portrayed Jo commented, “Jo had a child taken away from her multiple times – first it was kidnapped, then retrieved, only to be stolen again. After all that, she eventually gave him up. Frankly, it was just too much drama, especially considering I’ve appeared on David Letterman before!

If you’re not already familiar, the third season of the series focused heavily on the theme of kidnapping, filled with unexpected plot developments and jaw-dropping revelations. Initially, the biological parents were searching for Jo’s baby, a character portrayed by James Wilder (Reed Carter).

In the storyline from Entertainment Weekly, Marcia Cross’s character Kimberly initially helps stage the appearance of a dead baby but ultimately takes the child herself. However, this situation is short-lived as the Carters hire another babysitter to re-kidnap the baby. Eventually, due to being shot and reaching her breaking point, Jo decides to place the child up for adoption.
